Connex/NTU Configure

Connex/NTU Configure is a Windows -compatible program for configuring Advanced Control Systems Connex substation managers and controllers, and NTU-7500 series network terminal units (NTUs). This user-friendly software lets you handle configuration at your site in minutes, instead of the hours needed for traditional remote terminal units (RTUs). Once you have completed the configuration, you download it to the maintenance port on the unit.

The configuration process requires you to:
  • Assign installed hardware nodes and modules.

  • Assign physical and virtual devices and protocols to gateways for data collection.

  • Map binary points from local I/O inputs to assignments that match the type of digital hardware.

  • Map physical points from physical devices to virtual devices (Virtual RTUs).

  • Download the configuration file.
Connex/NTU Configure is a comprehensive substation automation program that co-ordinates the activities of local and external (IEDs) data collection instruments. NTU Configure is the key in providing a pathway and a framework to linking information between these devices and the master station. NTU Configure is powerful, flexible and easy-to-use. Navigating the Connex/NTU Configure window and selecting points is accomplished using standard Window Explorer rules.
