EMS Map: Common Information
Model for PSS/O Starting with a one-line drawing in almost any format, EMS Map creates new one-lines, maps real-time points and establishes links to SCADA. A labor-intensive and error-prone process now becomes automatic. EMS Map combines our PRISM/EMS operations technology with the Operational Database Maintenance System (ODMS) from Power Technologies Incorporated. ODMS was one of the first applications to be based on the International Electrotechnical Commission/International Standards Organization (IEC/ISO) Common Information Model (CIM) standard. EMS Map uses the CIM as its core, and supports the Control Center Application Program Interface (CCAPI), giving you an open, accessible model. EMS Map enables exchange and translation of model information between heterogeneous Energy Management Systems (EMS). EMS Map automatically generates a network connectivity model with Topology Processor to produce network colorization, so energized and de-energized areas can be identified easily.
