ATLANTA, GA, January 13, 2010—EfacecAdvanced Control Systems -- which for more than 32 years has conducted the industry’s most enduring user group meeting for utility executives and engineers –- applauds next week’s landmark “Conference on Innovative Smart Grid Technologies (ISGT).”
The workshop, the first sponsored by the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) and hosted by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), will be held January 19-21, 2010 in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
ATLANTA, GA, November 5, 2009—Approximately 400 companies applied for the $3.4 billion in smart grid stimulus funding; roughly 300 companies got nothing. Of the 100 or so organizations receiving ARRA funding, 23 are customers of Advanced Control Systems (ACS) -– receiving a total of more than $1.12B in DOE grants.
Efficiency and automation projects were big winners among smart grid applications for the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
